At the beginning of the year I set myself the challenge of writing two strange short stories a month and put them on my new blog Ibis Ink. Since this is just a fun exercise and I won't even try to publish, I can crank them out. Don't know if I'm going to be able to keep this up once the baby is born but if all goes according the plan I should have 24 tales at the end of the year.

Firstly, thanks for the comment on my blog post; those pictures only aspire to do justice to the ink they depict (Isis especially). I do so love her.
Secondly, I'll admit that I initially happened upon your blog a while back whilst Googling "Thoth tattoo," or something to that effect, as I had vowed that He'd certainly be the object of my next piece (right half sleeve). When I saw the simplistic, beautiful Thoth tattoo design you'd shared in your blog I knew immediately that I could never go there... I couldn't and wouldn't consider incorporating anything even remotely similar into ink for my own skin. Wouldn't be right. And yet I couldn't seem to remove that image from my mind. It really is a fantastic design. :)
In the end, I'm left here with two new tattoos, but no Thoth. Not yet. Oh, He'll be there. There's no doubt in my mind. Just not until *next* financial aid season. ;) This way, too, I'll have plenty of time to construct a design that includes Seshat and Hathor as well...Ah, I can hardly wait. I'm going to go ahead and cut myself off now. I apologize for the novelette and I appreciate your visit to my blog (it can be a crazy, mixed up place, that one).
